Free Hat Class
Learn how to make a basic hat in the round with almost any yarn. Instructor: Tracy 2 hours.
"Little Ruff"
This pattern is an adorable neck warmer. Knitting this will provide you with the opportunity to learn how to do short rows and make buttonholes. Youir will need size 7 straight needles, 99 yards of yarn and a 3/4" button. 2 hours. Cost $25.
Merlet by Wooly Wormhead
An attractive slouchy beret syle hat with a little lacework. This pattern uses 223 yards of worsted yarn. You will need size 7 circulars & double pointed needles and stitch markers. Download pattern. 2 hours. Cost: $25.
Finishing
We will cover blocking techniques, sewing seams and buttonholes. Bring with you: 4 knitted swatches made of smooth yarn approximately 4 x 4 inches in size, a darning needle, scrap yarn and one set of knitting needles. 2 hours. Cost: $25.
Strawberry Market Bag
Strong, attractive bag made from cotton. Pattern is provided or you can download your own from Ravelry. 2 hours. Cost: $25.
Knit Your First Sweater
This class will have you knit a baby sweater with all the styling of your own. You will learn all the components and at the end you will have knit an entire sweater and can move on and do one for yourself! This is a two part class. 4 hours total. Cost: $35.
Beginning Lace
"Alhambra" lace pattern can be downloaded for $6 from Ravelry. This pattern requires 1 set of size 3 needles and 350 yards of lightweight yarn, such as fingering weight or sock yarn. 2 hours. Cost $25
Mechanics Class
Learn how to achieve "gauge," read yarn labels & patterns, stitch abbreviations, and various stitches. Bring scrap yarn and a pair of needles. Handouts will be provided. 2 hours. Cost: $25.
Magic Loop
Learn a new technique that will make your knitting more fun and fast. Instructor: Tammee 2 hours. Cost $25
Three Brr Bears
Make one or all three of these adorable white bears using Spud & Chole wool. 2 hours. Cost: $25.
French Market Bag
Attractive and sturdy market bag made from Aran weight wool yarn in two colors. Bring US size 7 circulary needles and same size double pointed needles. Free pattern available from knitty.com. 2 hours. Cost: $25.
Beginning Cable
Bring to class any smooth yarn, a pair of double pointed needles size 6. Handout pattern will be provided. 2 hours. Cost: $25.
Lavender Lace Socks
Pattern will be provided. A reinforced heel & Kitchener Stitch will be covered. 2 hours. Cost: $25.
Advanced Lace
Bitterroot Shawl - knitty.com free pattern. This pattern can be either made into a full shawl or shawlette, with or without beading on the edges. 2 hours. Cost: $25.
Chick Flick Night
Come and watch a movie, knit and gab with the gals. The Scarlet Skein provides pizza and beverages. Please call to reserve a spot as seating is limited.
